AI-Assisted Research
AI-Assisted Research is a large language model (LLM), chat-based interface in Checkpoint Edge. You can ask federal tax questions and get AI-generated answers based on Checkpoint content and sources.
This premium tool is separate from the main search, and is designed to give you a better starting point to search more effectively.
- Open AI-Assisted Research: If licensed, openAI-Assisted Researchfrom the Checkpoint Edge homepage.
- Ask a question:Â Enter keywords or a question in the chat area, like you would when searching Checkpoint Edge.
- Wait for a response: The tool will identify the most relevant Checkpoint sources and generate an answer.
- Review:Â An answer field, labeled as
AI Generated, gives the answer to your question. Each sentence has a citation reference that matches up with supporting materials. TheSupporting materialssection gives snippets of the cited sources for you to verify answers quickly. You can select any reference material to open the full-text document.
- Ask another follow-up question:Â If necessary, you can ask another follow-up question. AI-Assisted research uses context from previous questions and answers when formulating responses to additional questions.
- Copy your answer:Ìý±«²õ±ð
to copy the AI-generated answer to your clipboard. - Print or Export:Â You can print and export AI responses generated through AI-Assisted Research. Select thePrintorExportbutton that appears after every AI-generated response. You can print or export the selected answer only, or the entire conversation (with or without linked references to supporting Checkpoint materials).
